Reading, PA Penske Racing Shocks, a world leader in racing shock technology, will be hosting an advanced suspension seminar on July 25, 2009, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, at their main location in Reading, Pennsylvania. The class is intended for people who have: already assembled and disassembled shocks, worked with a shock dyno, have made adjustments to suspension for varying track conditions, want to know more about what areas to focus on when looking at improving or changing your dyno curve, or are familiar with words such as “hysteresis”, “pressure balancing”, “decoupled”, etc. The Shock Seminar will cover: * Basic Shock Design, Terminology, and Philosophy Discussion * Theory How a Shock Works * In-Depth Dyno Tuning Explanation and How it Relates to the Track * Piston Design Discuss Different Piston Designs and Uses * Head Valve Explanation, Advantages, and Theory * Pressure Balancing Explanation * Question and Answer Session There will be four instructors for the seminar, including: Jim Arentz, Technical Director Aaron Lambert, Open Wheel / Sports Car Manager A provided lunch is included in the cost.
