Pets Named After Famous Racers, Part 43: Daisy Dangerous Mladin The “Chug”

Arioch M’greene of Glendale, California sent in this photo, with a note: “This is a picture of Daisy Dangerous Mladin. She is a rescue that we got in 2006. When I was seven, her first road trip with us was to Laguna Seca for the AMA Nationals. She got her name when she was staying in the paddock with us. She was very defensive of her new family and kept barking at Bostrom’s French Bull Dog. Mat Mladin walked by and commented ‘That is one pissed-off Chihuahua.’ “She is actually a ‘Chug,’ part Chihuahua, part Pug. And all monster. He became her favorite racer of all time, and so by default, my second-favorite racer of all time. The vet tries to misspell her name every year at shot time by trying to add an ‘a’ after the ‘M.’ But she won’t stand for that.” Do you have a pet named after a famous racer, or know someone else who has a pet named after a famous racer? Send an in-focus pet photo (as a jpeg file) along with the name of the pet, the name of their human or humans, and their hometown, to [email protected] .
