Miller Motorsports Park Names Yamaha R6 Contest Winner Alexus Encarnado of Philadelphia Wins Yamaha R6 Sport Bike TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (May 25, 2010) “” Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. Just ask Alexus Encarnado of Philadelphia. Encarnado, who is 19 years old, is the grand prize winner in the “Win a Yamaha R6″ contest, jointly promoted by Miller Motorsports Park, the Yamaha Champions Riding School and Rockwell Time. She will be coming to Utah this weekend to claim her brand-new Yamaha R6 sport bike during the Lucas Oil Utah USA Round of the FIM Superbike World Championship presented by HANNspree. However, if there’s one person luckier than Encarnado, it might well be her boyfriend, Joseph Davilo. Aside from the fact that he has captured her heart, she is giving him the Yamaha R6! The pair entered the contest at a Yamaha dealer in Pennsylvania, and Encarnado admits that she only entered to double Joseph’s chances of winning. In fact, she has never even ridden a motorcycle. “Oh, my God! This is unbelievable!” she managed to say when she received the call telling her that she had won a Yamaha R6. “I told Joseph that I was luckier than a rabbit’s foot!” She is thrilled to have won, looking forward to visiting Utah and Miller Motorsports Park, and ecstatic “that I can make the love of my life so happy.” The Lucas Oil Utah USA Round of the FIM Superbike World Championship presented by HANNspree is the biggest event of the year at Miller Motorsports Park, and the only appearance of the championship in the western hemisphere. The weekend kicks off with a downtown party at Salt Lake City’s Gateway Mall on Friday night, a classic rock concert featuring Styx, Foreigner and Kansas on Saturday night, and a myriad of exhibits, displays and demonstrations for fans throughout the weekend. The on-track action commences on Saturday with practice sessions, followed by qualifying sessions on Sunday and the feature races on Memorial Day, Monday. Joining World Superbike will be the World Supersport Championship and the second annual Lucas Oil Superbike Challenge, a semi-pro event comprised of two classes organized by the Utah SportBike Association.
