Robertino Pietri´s AMA Superstock GSX-R1000 arrived in Caracas, Venezuela at four o´clock Friday afternoon and cleared Venezuelan customs at around 10 o´clock Friday night. While waiting for the much delayed bike to arrive from Miami, Pietri´s mechanics James Lickwar and Scott Harwell spent Friday afternoon and evening race prepping and installing spare racing suspension parts and bodywork–which had arrived Thursday–on a stock GSX-R1000 Pietri bought from the Venezulan Suzuki importer earlier in the day. Pietri missed Friday practice for the first round of the Venezuelan National Championship but will be on track Saturday morning for the series double-header.
