Pilot USA Sponsors Doug Polen And 1 On 1 Rider’s School

Murrieta, Ca. – July 14, 2008 – Pilot USA is proud to announce a new leather and clothing sponsorship for Doug Polen’s 1ON1 Rider’s School. In conjunction, Pilot will also be the official supplier of leathers for Doug’s racing efforts, including the MOTO-ST series. Polen is a two time World Superbike Champion (1991-1992) and AMA Superbike Champion (1993). He also achieved the Endurance World Championship in 1997 and 1998. His sportbike training school – 1ON1 Rider’s School – has classes at Buttonwillow, Laguna Seca and Infineon throughout the year, plus offers instruction at various Track Day events. “I’ve worn leathers from every top level company from all over the world,” Polen said. “The quality, fit and protection of Pilot’s suits is the BEST I’ve seen in my 31 years of racing. I’m looking forward to a very long relationship with Pilot USA.” “We are very honored to be working with a great champion such as Doug,” Josh Bennett, President of Pilot USA explained. “We’re going to be putting together a number of programs that will benefit the participants of the school.” Official 1ON1 Pilot leathers will be available for students to rent or purchase at a discounted price. Pilot USA is also currently sponsoring Jamie James Yamaha Champions Riding School, Scott Russell and is the official clothing supplier to the MOTO-ST race series. In addition to Polen, James and Russell, many of the world’s other champions have raced in Pilot gear including Ben Spies, John Hopkins, Josh Hayes, Tom Kipp, Mike Smith, Jay Springsteen and Gary Nixon.
