Pirelli is proud to announce its 2007 contingency program that offers more than $2,180,000 in payouts to road racers and drag racers. Also new for 2007 is the Pirelli Rewards Card, providing nearly instant payouts. The Pirelli Rewards Card provides a speedy, online rewards system. For road racers competing in the AMA Superbike series or AMA ProStar Drag Racing, contingencies earned will be paid with a preloaded American Express card that can be used anywhere American Express is accepted. For racers competing in all other Pirelli-supported, road racing series, Pirelli’s contingency payouts are powered by American Express Incentive Services through the Pirelli Rewards Card, and can only be used exclusively for tire purchases, through Pirelli’s racing vendor network. Racers signing up for the Pirelli Rewards Card program must visit: www.us.pirelli.com, select “motorcycle,” then select “Road/Drag Racing Contingency.” Once there, follow the directions for registering and subscribe to the program. After earning Pirelli Rewards at races, log on and enter your racing results into the racing calendar. The first Pirelli Rewards Card will be mailed by April 30th. After that the cards will be mailed every two weeks in the amounts of rewards earned. This is a new program and racers must complete the registration to be eligible. Pirelli’s previous contingency web site is accessible, only to look up 2006 account information, until the end of March. All valid contingency certificates from 2006 must be turned into a race vendor no later than March 17th. After that date, no certificates from 2006 can be redeemed. Contingency for races after January 1st, 2007, will be redeemed via the new rewards program. Beginning with the racing on the high banks of Daytona International Speedway, Pirelli’s new Diablo Supercorsa DOT race tires and Diablo Superbike Slicks are available for podium finishes and payouts through the Pirelli Rewards Card. Ultra-fast tires and a super-fast payout program.
