Woodhall Spa rider Steve Plater is fully recovered from his racing accident at Oulton Park last month and returns to action with British Superbike team AIM Yamaha to contest the Cadwell Park round of the 2007 Bennetts British Superbike championship. Just last week Plater rode to second place in the Oschersleben round of the World Endurance championship with Kawasaki France and is currently in France testing with the team at Magny Cours for the next round, which is the 24-hour Bol d’Or race. Last year Plater was third in the Bol d’Or and will be anxious to improve on that to remain in contention for the world title this time around, he is currently lying in second place with just two rounds remaining. Although Plater will perhaps not be in the running for a win at Cadwell this year he should go well as he knows every inch of tarmac at his local circuit and has won there on previous occasions. He should feature strongly in the results in each of the two races and will be seeking two solid points-finishes for AIM Yamaha. Free practice and qualifying take place over Saturday and Sunday with two 18-lap races set for Monday at 1pm and 4.30pm.
