Sterilgarda GMB Racing will line up Alex Polita together with Shane Byrne in the next WSBK season. The ‘Pirate’ has reached the promotion thanks to excellents results in STK1000 as one of the best riders of the contest, where he has showed talent, maturity and competitive spirits. All those skill have persuaded Marco Borciani to promote the young 23 y.o. rider to the SBK championship where Polita entered for a brief period in 2007 before a collarbone break stopped his adventure at Donington. Polita will ride the new Ducati 999 RS’09 and he will have the opportunity to test the new bike just the days following the last race of the season at Portimao together with his new team-mate Shane Byrne. He has grown up in the race management and he has improved his working method. He has learnt how to capitalize his skills.
