DJ Irie Slated to Perform this Weekend at M1 PowerSports’ Triumph Big Kahuna AMA Pro Nationals at Homestead-Miami Speedway DENVER, Colo. (September 17, 2012) – M1 PowerSports has signed DJ Irie, Miami’s number one DJ, to perform at this weekend’s AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike spectacular, the Triumph Big Kahuna Miami presented by Dunlop Tire and LeoVince. The M1 PowerSports-promoted event is the penultimate round of the 2012 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing Championship and is scheduled for this weekend, September 21-23, 2012 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. DJ Irie, who has the number one mix-show on Miami’s WEDR 99 JAMZ and is also the Official DJ of the Miami Heat, will be performing from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Big Kahuna Vendor Village on Sunday to kick off the final day of racing activity. “Our motto is ‘Come for the Party, Stay for the Race’ and DJ Irie is the absolute perfect entertainer for the Big Kahuna Miami,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “With Irie spinning in the paddock, the pre-race hype and the buzz of the event is going to just be insane. We’re going to give the fans in Miami an event that they won’t ever forget.” Years of hard work and determination have propelled DJ Irie past the level of hotshot DJ to his position as an immovable staple of Miami’s world-renowned party scene. His perspective has also made the St. Croix native, known for his immense energy, an almost ubiquitous presence in what some call the champagne life. Catch him on the tables at NBA All Star Weekend, VH1 Pepsi Superbowl Fan Jam, Fortune Magazine’s 40 Under 40, huge jet-setting events in countries including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, or in the Bahamas and St. Marten where he travels fifteen times a year to helm music at their hottest events and clubs. It can almost be said if you haven’t experienced a DJ Irie party then you’re not attending the right kind of parties. “I’ve always been a huge fan of motorcycle racing,” Irie said. “To be able to participate and perform at Big Kahuna, one of the premier races in the country, will be one of the most exciting moments of my career!” Tickets for the Triumph Big Kahuna Miami begin at just $20, including FREE parking, and entertainment offerings are being added to the schedule by the day. Originally spawned from Daniels Corporation under the name FAST, the fledgling company was heavily involved in television production for car and motorcycle racing. With the birth of Speedvision, FAST morphed into Race Promotion Management (RPM) and is now operating as M1 PowerSports with many of the same staff still in place.
