The PRAMAC-D’ANTIN Team has reached an agreement with Sylvain Guintoli to contest the 2008 MotoGP World Championship together. The young French rider, 25 years old and hailing from Montelimar, will be an important part in the formation of the Italo-Spanish Team, and will ride the Ducati Desmosidici GP8 next season. Guintoli’s sporting history began in 2000, where he rode in the Gran Prix of Le Mans. The following year saw him challenge an entire season where he had some hopeful results and finished the season in 14th position – something that hinted at his future potential. In 2003, Guintoli then began as a test rider for the Tech 3 MotoGP team, where he matured as a rider and continued to augment his impressive base skills. His style has grown even further, and should be excellently suited for the 800cc bikes, which emphasize a rider’s ability to be brave, aggressive, and fast.
