Qatar Motor & Motorcycling Federation (QMMF) To Be Title Sponsor Of FIM Endurance World Championship

Endurance World Championship Agreement for title sponsor Today in Doha, Qatar, the President of the FIM Road Racing Commission, Mr Claude Danis, and the President of the Qatar Motor & Motorcycling Federation, Mr Nasser Khalifa Al-Attiyah, confirmed the agreement reached between the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme and the Qatar Motor & Motorcycling Federation concerning the Endurance World Championship. During the press conference held in the presence of representatives of the international media (present for the Grand Prix of Qatar) and of the national media, the following points were presented: – The QMMF is the title sponsor of the Championship, whose official name is “QMMF Endurance World Championship”. – The calendar, which counts six events including the Doha Six Hours on November 10, is confirmed. – The Qatar Endurance Racing Team is included in the list of the 20 permanent teams that will take part in all the rounds of the Championship. – At each round, the QMMF will award a trophy to a personality chosen by the organiser. – The FIM Awards Ceremony of the QMMF Endurance World Championship will take place in Doha on November 10. – The FIM President Mr Vito Ippolito declared: “I am very happy with the agreement we have reached with the Qatar Motor & Motorcycling Federation, a Federation which is investing heavily in our sport, and with the work we are developing for the Endurance World Championship. The FIM is building a strong structure and now, with the support of the QMMF, I am convinced that Endurance will become a successful Championship as from this 2007 year.” – The QMMF President Mr Nasser Khalifa Al-Attiyah declared: “QMMF and Qatar has been given the enormous honour of being the title sponsor of one of the most prestigious motorcycling championships in the world. The QMMF Endurance World Championship 2007 give us a great opportunity to have a permanent team Qatar Endurance Racing Team to be part and to compete with the top riders of Endurance”.
