New broadcast deal to take ASBK to an international audience For immediate release: 5 September 2013. International Entertainment Group (IEG) is excited to confirm a comprehensive new telecast package for the QBE Australian Superbike Championship that will see Australia’s premier road race series broadcast on SPEEDWEEK, SPEED TV in Australia and internationally via Motors TV, ESPN and Fox. In a first for the ASBK, races and interviews from the remaining rounds of the 2013 QBE Australian Superbike Championship will also be streamed live via the series website www.asbk.com.au Next weekends Darwin round of the championship, which will run simultaneously with Milwaukee presents the Terex Australian Supercross Championship, will receive two hours of coverage following the event. Superbike and Supersport races will be broadcast in full with the comprehensive coverage to be captured by nine cameras around the track and 10 on-board cameras. IEG Managing Director Yarrive Konsky said the new telecast deal would provide a huge boost for teams and riders with increased exposure nationally and internationally. “We are excited to align ourselves with AVE and Greg Sita and look forward to strengthening our relationship above the Australian Supercross Championship,” Konsky said “AVE has successfully broadcast motorsport for over two decades. Their expertise and professionalism will provide the QBE Australian Superbike Championship with a formidable telecast package. “In addition to the telecast we will also stream live races and interviews from the remaining events,” Konsky added.
