LINFOOT AND MAINWARING TEAM UP AT QUATTRO PLANT KAWASAKI The Quattro Plant Kawasaki team have announced an all-new line up for the 2014 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship, as Dan Linfoot and Howie Mainwaring gear up for their return next season. Linfoot moves to Kawasaki power for 2014 after a difficult start to his 2013 campaign, when a crash at the opening round at Brands Hatch saw him sidelined for three events. He returned to end his season strongly, scoring points in all but two races. Mainwaring brings Kawasaki experience to the Quattro Plant team having completed the season for Tsingtao WKBikes in 2013. The former Superstock contender scored top ten results and achieved a season’s best of seventh place in race two at Oulton Park in May. The Quattro Plant squad are now aiming high for the forthcoming season having narrowly missed out on the top six in the Showdown in the past two years. Linfoot said: “I am very happy to be joining the team and I am really keen to get the season underway because I know we can build on the results I have had previously. I definitely think we can fight for a place in the Showdown next year as the team have a strong package and a wealth of experience with the Kawasaki. I want to improve and make steps forward again next season and I want to thank Pete and everyone at Quattro Plant Kawasaki for giving me this opportunity.” Mainwaring said: “I am really looking forward to 2014 and I am definitely expecting us as a team to have a strong season and it is also great to have a team-mate like Dan as we can push each other all year. My plan was always to stay with Kawasaki and I know that we can run in the top ten so now it is time to move forward and try to aim for the top five. We are capable of achieving that and I believe we are in with a good shout next year.” Team owner Pete Extance concluded: “We are pleased to be able to announce our 2014 line up and with Dan and Howie we couldn’t ask for a better line up of young, enthusiastic and also experienced riders. We are setting our goal for this season to be a position in the Showdown and also consistent top ten finishes throughout the season and we are obviously looking forward now to getting testing underway in the New Year. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Quattro Plant for their continued support in 2014.” For more information please visit www.britishsuperbike.com
