The Z Cup Championship in Europe featured Z800s and Z900s in National-level competition, and the race-spec Z900 was a serious piece of racing kit—akin to the early, naked, and tubular handlebar AMA Superbikes, circa 1980. (Was that really 40 years ago?)

      “When I threw my leg over a 2020 version of the firm’s 948cc Inline-Four naked performance bike, it had been a while since I’d been on a big, upright bike on the street, and I’d forgotten that they deliver more than performance. They also deliver fun, in big, heaping shovels-full. I put a lot of street, freeway, and twisty-road miles on the Z900, and I spent a lot of the time laughing …”
