So I was excited when a storm drenched the Southern California basin, because it meant I could switch the electric Zero SR/S to rain mode and head out onto the highway. It’s important to test your pre-conceived beliefs, I rationalized as I left the driveway… 

        “What I discovered was that, unlike the Eco mode which limits top speed to 75 mph, the Rain mode doesn’t. So I was soon splashing along smoothly and silently at 92 mph—and Rain mode actually allows for a full 100 mph!

        “Electric vehicles are a new paradigm, not just new technology, but an entirely new way of getting from point A to point B. To check out what it takes to adapt from gas power to an electric motorcycle, we borrowed a gorgeous blue Zero SR/S. I plugged it in and got ready to experience a different take on motorcycling…”
