Lenny Albin, a suspension tuner with years of success in road racing, died Monday, September 26, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Albin suffered a heart attack on September 20 and did not recover. He was 57.
Albin was Co-Owner of Moto Chassis Technology LLC, and the Technical Product Manager and a Race Suspension Technician for K-Tech Suspension USA.
Prior to that he worked for Nitron Racing Shocks USA, Ohlins USA, and Race Tech Suspension. He was also an MMI-trained motorcycle mechanic.
Several racers thanked Albin during their podium speeches and in post-race press conferences this past weekend at the MotoAmerica season finale at Barber Motorsports Park, including 2022 Junior Cup Champion Cody Wyman.
Albin is survived by his wife Karen Lea Albin, son David Albin, and daughters Bethany Albin, Brittany Albin, and Kaylea Hoover.
A celebration of life has been scheduled October 6 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. local time at The Original Aunt Childas, 7330 North Dreamy Draw Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85020. Friends are invited to send photos and/or videos of Lenny to [email protected].
