WHEW!!!!! It was hot, hot, hot at Auto Club Speedway this past weekend! Right at 103 degrees both days with the track temperature being over 140 degrees by noon! The humidity is what made it more difficult to contend with but all the riders kept hydrating themselves so there were few problems. The next event at Auto Club Speedway will be Saturday, September 10th which is a day before a WERA West Club Race. There will be two racer groups and one Level II Street Group. No racers will be allowed into Level II and no Level II Street Riders will be allowed in the two Racer Groups. The Level II Street Group will have limited spaces available! Only licensed Racers will be allowed in either race group. Temperatures are currently forecasted to be in the low 80’s for Saturday and Sunday! WERA West Race Director, Larry Pointer has decided the races on Sunday will be run with the track in the same configuration as the last six Fastrack Riders events meaning the chicane is back in place in the turn 10/11 area. It took several tries over a total of six events to get the layout just right but now the track and new layout is ready for race day! Riders wanting to race and do not have a Racer’s License can go on line and sign up to take WERA’s Novice Rider School on Saturday at the Fastrack track day! Go to WERA.com to download all the information required! Register on line @ www.fastrackriders.com or call 877-560-2233! No gate fees on Saturday! No charge for overnight camping on Friday night and Saturday night! No charge for use of garages! Need four bikes per garage bay on Saturday! AMB transponders for the day are no charge! Lap times are uploaded to Fastrack’s website after each session! ALL transponders must be returned at the end of the day! WERA provides their own transponders for race day! Remember to bring the proper adapter to plug in your RV to the island’s 50amp circuit. It’s a “NEMA 14-50″
