As a close friend and team member to Jessica Zalusky (AMA Roadracing #172 – www.roadracinggirl.com), I’m writing this note on Jessica’s behalf to inform friends, fans, and the racing community that she had a stroke last night (Sunday November 16th). Doctors found three (3) blood clots in her brain which they immediately cleared via a special procedure and currently are keeping a watchful eye on her in the ICU of a hospital near her home in Minnesota. At this point, plans are to move her to the Stroke Unit tonight. The stroke affected the left side of her body. However, as of this morning, Jessica is aware of everything that has happened, is talking yet resting, and is starting to get feeling back on her left side. Jessica has asked me to notify everyone that she’s doing fine and wanted her fans to know that her family is taking good care of her as she hits the road to recovery! We’ll do our best to get updates out as time permits.
