Racer Lloyd Bayley, R.I.P. (Updated)

Racer Lloyd Bayley, a resident of Deland, Florida, was killed in a crash today at Homestead-Miami Speedway, in Homestead, Florida, according to several sources at the track.

Bayley, who raced under the LB Sports team name, was involved in a crash in Turn Six during the 2020 ASRA Team Challenge season finale.

LB Sports was leading the ASRA Team Challenge GTO class standings and was second in the overall ASRA Team Challenge Championship points heading into today’s finale.

LB Sports won the ASRA overall and GTO Team Challenge Championships in 2018.

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Lloyd Bayley today in a one-bike incident at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Bayley, 43, from Deland, Florida, was competing in the final ASRA Team Challenge for the 2020 Championship when the incident occurred.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Bayley family and all who are affected by the loss.

We too shall miss him.
