WE WILL MISS YOU PETER!
It is with a very heavy heart that we share this – on Saturday, February 17th during our fifth race of the day at the Southeast Sportsman Region event held at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway in Alabama we lost a member of our community. Peter L. Xenakis, born on 5/13/1962. Peter was hit on the Starting Grid and succumbed to his injuries. Peter moved to Expert Status for the 2018 season having done well in the two prior years of Novice racing and he loved the Lightweight Classes, he was running in the D Superbike Expert Class. Peter owned the X-act Track Days and had run at Talladega many times both as a racer and as instructor/mentor with his track day business. Peter is survived by his wife Anna, children Halie Xenakis and Thomas Xenakis, and stepson David Ehlert. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.
