Racer Jason DiSalvo’s motorhome caught fire and burned while parked at Yogi Bear’s Yellowstone Park Camping Resort in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia on Monday. DiSalvo and his wife Bethany were on a river-rafting day trip at the time of the fire. Firefighters responded but were unable to save the couple’s two dogs, which were inside the motorhome. The cause of the fire is unknown. An enclosed trailer attached to the motorhome was undamaged. DiSalvo and his wife had planned to stay at the camping resort between last weekend’s WERA National weekend and this coming weekend’s AMA Pro Racing National at VIR. They are currently staying at a local hotel.
