A Conditional Use Permit to establish a Motor Sports Racetrack with various support structures has been applied with the county of San Bernardino, CA and has been approved in a public hearing by the Planning Commission on April, 2007 Vidal International Speedway will be a multi purpose track facility that is primarily designed for use by club racers and amateur organizations, and will be designed with safety in mind. The original design was to include a Speedway, Road Course and a Drag Strip, but modifications will be required to comply with the conditions set by the County of San Bernardino Planning Division. The approved track facility located approximately half a mile east of State Highway 95, adjacent to and north of the San Bernardino County/Riverside County boundary, near the community of Vidal. A location that is convenient to southern California, Phoenix AZ, and Las Vegas, NV. A casino, various hotels, and water sport activities are located within a 20 mile radius. Vidal International Speedway will be a racetrack with several layouts that attract stock car racers, motorcycle racers, drag racers, car enthusiasts, and motorcycle enthusiasts. The layout and the great weather the location has to offer for winter, spring and fall will allow businesses and private renters to enjoy a recreational park with no fear of cancellation due to bad weather. The raceway project has been the life goal of Guy D. Uriel an amateur racer, and a race fan who has been working on the project since 2003. Failing twice to obtain the elusive permits required to open the racetrack facility in two other locations. It seems that only a remote location would establish the rough guidelines required for this kind of facility. In 2006 Guy D. Uriel purchased the 280 acres, and applied immediately for a Conditional Use Permit. After a little more than a year and several additional studies, and many sleepless nights, the Planning Commission has approved the project with no objections from the surrounding properties. Vidal International Speedway has already engaged with an Engineering firm and a Track designer, but due to the current financial crisis, Vidal International Speedway is experiencing difficulties securing the necessary funds in a conventional way for the project to proceed, and now seeking private investors who wish to take part in an exciting and growing industry.
