It’s a new year at Colin Edwards’ Texas Tornado Boot Camp. 2016 brings more racing to the two-time World Superbike champion’s Yamaha motorcycle facility. The popular five race series of Dirt Wars and Mad Dog racing is back.

Texas Tornado Boot Camp is now offering early registration to not only the Dirt Wars race events but also for the Mad Dog specific races as well. The Mad Dog National is scheduled for October 1st. Last year, the Mad Dog National brought out some of the best racing talent in the country including names such as AMA Pro Road Racing’s, Danny Eslick and two-time Grand National Flat Track champion, Jake Johnson.

“I can’t wait for the new season of racing,” says TTBC Lead Instructor Joe Prussiano. “We’re going into our third year with Dirt Wars and I am really pleased at how our races have grown and evolved. I’m looking forward to seeing how our Mad Dog races turn out this year. I’m also really excited that Colin has built a bike to race with us! Let’s go racing already!!!”

For those not familiar with Dirt Wars, it’s a one night race under the lights; it’s a test of skill. Riders compete on equally prepped YAMAHA TTR-125 machines. The event includes heat races, LCQ’s and Main Events. Dirt Wars, along with the “Mad Dog” classes will feature a format which splits amateurs and professionals. Purse money will be paid to the Pro divisions. Dirt Wars and Mad Dog specific races also include classes for women and children.

“I’m so looking forward to our Dirt Wars/Mad Dog events at the Boot Camp in 2016,” said Colin Edwards. “I finally competed in the last event we had in 2015 and I’m hooked!!! I just completed a Mad Dog build of my own… So bring it on folks!!”
