Test Day 1: De Angelis amongst top riders despite the rain Once again rain ruins Team JiR’s plans for this weekend’s final pre-season test session at Jerez de la Frontera. This test has been the first where official engines have been distributed and the interest in their performance was soon dampened by the dark clouds that delivered rain to the track by late morning. This meant that little useful information on the performance of the motors could be gained. By the end of the day, Alex De Angelis could only complete 13 laps, just enough to get in touch with his MotoBI but not enough to begin to test the technical evolutions that have been brought to Spain. We all hope for the weather to be better tomorrow, but if not, riders will take the track with grooved tyres in order to follow the development plan as much as possible. Despite the weather Alex De Angelis managed to put himself amongst the top riders in 6th place.
