Sussex, WI — (May 5, 2007) Organizers of the Red Flag Fund announced they will hold the fund’s inaugural charity auction July 7, 2007, at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, to benefit seriously injured motorcycle roadracers. The event will be held during Road America’s ASRA/CCS and MOTO-ST race weekend, which is expected to draw hundreds of top regional and national competitors. “The Red Flag Fund Auction will raise both money and awareness for our cause,” said Red Flag Fund President Jeffery Kufalk. “And we’re thrilled to be able to hold our very first auction event at Road America, one of the premiere natural road courses in the country, with a full weekend of motorcycle racing on tap.” The Red Flag Fund Auction will begin at 7 PM on Saturday, July 7, in the Buell Motorcycle Company hospitality tent located in Road America’s competition paddock. The live auction is expected to feature hundreds of motorcycle and racing related donated items with all proceeds benefiting the Red Flag Fund. Food and beverages will be available through Road America’s concessions. “We have already received many generous donations of auction items, but we’re actively seeking more since this will be our primary fund raising tool this season,” said Kufalk. “Please contact us if you have auction items to donate, this is going be a great event for a great cause.” To donate an item for the Red Flag Fund Auction, go to www.redflagfund.org and click on the auction link. Red Flag Fund, Inc. is non-stock, non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable company formed to provide financial assistance to seriously injured motorcycle roadracers, as well as educate motorcycle riders on the importance of proper safety gear.
