Barcelona, Spain – 10 June 2014: Scott Redding heads into round seven of the MotoGP World Championship in Barcelona this weekend with his sights set firmly on fellow Honda production racers, Nicky Hayden and Hiroshi Aoyama.

Hayden and Aoyama currently lead Redding by just two points in the championship standings, a gap that the 21-year-old Briton is keen to bridge this weekend by finishing as the top production Honda rider in Sunday’s Grand Prix of Catalunya.

Scott Redding:
“Barcelona hasn’t been one of my favourite tracks in the past, but it may well be different aboard the MotoGP bike. Regardless, we will face again another challenge, as this is yet another new circuit for me on the Honda RCV1000R. We go there knowing that the two long straights will cost us a lot of time, which is frustrating, because you put in so much effort only to see guys cruise past you on the straights. But we need to stay strong and keep on doing what we do. Like always, we face some work at the beginning of the weekend, but I think we have a pretty good setting on the bike now so, hopefully, I can once again be top production Honda in Barcelona.”
