Six-time AMA Superbike Champion Mat Mladin is ninth among Australia’s top-earning sports figures, according to a report on the website of BRW, an Australian business magazine. Mladin was reported to have made $7 million, but the report did not specify in what time period that money was earned or if that figure was Australian or American dollars. In addition to his compensation as a racer, Mladin owns and operates a successful importing business in Australia. Ahead of Mladin on the list were Supercross/motocross racer Chad Reed, #6 with $8 million; Formula One car racer Mark Webber, who was #5 and said to have made $8.5 million; and golfer Greg Norman, who topped the list with earnings of $20 million. 2007 MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner was not listed in BRW’s top 10.
