Results From Last Sunday’s ZARS Shootout Races At Mid-America Motorplex

Pacific Junction, MN (October 13) Zalusky Advanced Riding School and Track Days held its season finale for the Shootout Series Championship and Track Day on October 10, 2010, at Mid America Motorplex in Pacific Junction, Iowa.

The Track Day Event was being presented by Heinen’s Yamaha and drew in racers and riders from all across the Midwest. The Shootout was presented by Worldwide Machining and Welding, Inc., and awarded $1000 to the podium finishers.

In the Expert GP 3/4, Shane Keaveny aboard his Suzuki GSX-R1000 had the hole shot and took the win and Jesse Nelson and Scott Stall finished respectively in 2nd and 3rd. In the Novice GP 3/4, Kris Skellenger took the checkered flag as well as the series championship title. In the Novice GP 1/2, Cole Speer put together another dominating performance for the win and a series sweep, plus the series championship title.

ZARS also debuted the first ever Rider Challenge and showcased the many talented Midwest riders. Clint Brooks battled with Tony Boshart every lap and ultimately took the checkered flag.

“We could not have asked for a better event and group of riders. Shane Keaveny dominated the Shootout field and Clint Brooks made an incredible debut in our Rider Challenge,” stated Jessica Zalusky.

Shootout Series Champions for 2010 were also crowned: Expert GP 3/4 Tony Kasper, Expert GP 1/2 Karl Rehpohl, Novice GP 3/4 Kris Skellenger, Novice GP 1/2 Cole Speer

In total, the Shootout Series presented by Worldwide Machining and Welding, Inc., awarded racers $5000 in 2010. “We’ve had such an incredible season with so much to build on for the future and can’t wait 2011,” stated Jessica Zalusky.
