Elkhart Lake, WI (May 30) – Zalusky Advanced Riding School and Track Days (ZARS) recently held its double header for the Shootout Championship and Rider Challenge Championships Series and Track Days, May 26-27, at Elkhart Lake’s Road America.

A field of International riders as well as several AMA riders converged on the 4-mile road course in Wisconsin over Memorial Day and May 28. The Shootout Series drew in several AMA racers looking to test for the upcoming races, plus many CCS and CRA racers. They lined up not only to test, but big cash prizes too. The series presented by BlownConcepts.com awarded over $1600 in cash prizes to the top finishers in each of the classes.

On May 26, Scott Stall, Pat Stewart and Calvin Martinez had a close and fierce battle for the win and Stall prevailed in the GP4 Expert class. In the GP3 Expert class, Jason Farrell of Farrell Performance finished strong in 1st and Ricardo Valdez finished respectively in 2nd.

On May 27, Canadian Francois Dumas ran away with the checkered in GP4 Expert while Cities Edge Pat Stewart finished respectively in 2nd. In the GP3 Expert, TPL Racing Jordan Imrie rode impressively for the win with young guns Kyle Ohnsorg and Kaleb De Keyrel in a close battle, finishing respectively in 2nd and 3rd.

On both days, Tom Swager took impressive wins for GP 1/2 Expert with runner up Jon Champ in close proximity.

In the Novice ranks, Tony Storniolo, Jonathan Schwartz, Dave Pederson and Scott Nelson all had notable wins throughout the series at Road America.

ZARS continues to broaden our opportunities with the Rider Challenge for experienced Track Day riders. James Melanson took his first win as a rookie and Martin Holte took home another impressive win in GP3. In the GP4, Chris Burns had back to back wins on his Yamaha YZF R1. In GP 1/2, Doug Evans took both wins as a rookie in the Rider Challenge for GP 1/2.

ZARS heads to Brainerd International Raceway on June 29-30 and returns to Road America on July 28.
