The MCRA (Midwest Cafe Racing Association -St. Louis, MO) would like to announce our newly renovated track day & racing series here in the Midwest, the 2012 I-70 Challenge Series! The series will consist of (8) 2-day events held at 3 tracks; Gateway(IL), Putnam Park(IN) & Heartland Park(KS), all right off of Hwy 70. We offer the perfect combination of track days & racing. Our events consist of the normal regiment of rotating Expert, Intermediate & Novice sessions for the track day enthusiast…combined with a 25 minute Nov/Exp GT race at noon, and GT lights (lightweight twins) and Sportsman (beginners) races at the end of the day! We also offer two Test the Track sessions for brand new riders off the street to help ease that transition to the race track. The MCRA Racing Clinic is our race licensing course for up-and-coming racers who do not already have a race license from other qualifying organizations (CCS, WERA, AMA, CMRA, CRA, etc). Our racing events come complete with purse payouts & trophy presentations! The MCRA has been in operation since the late 70’s, holding track days & affiliated racing events with CCS/WERA/AMA. Now, we have our own grass-roots series that caters to riders of all skill levels from beginners to experienced racers! 2012 I-70 MCRA Challenge Series schedule: April 21-22 Putnam Park Raceway (Cloverdale, IN) May 26-27 Gateway Motorsports Park (Madison, IL) June 16-17 Gateway Motorsports Park (Madison, IL) July 7-8 Heartland Park Raceway (Topeka, KS) Aug 4-5 Gateway Motorsports Park (Madison, IL) Sept 8-9 Putnam Park Raceway (Cloverdale, IN) Sept 29-30 Heartland Park Raceway (Topeka, KS) Oct 13-14 Gateway Motorsports Park (Madison, IL) For more information visit www.mcraracing.com.
