Georgia, Virginia motorcyclists ride for kids with brain tumors

Motorcyclists in Georgia and Virginia contributed $170,290 in donations to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation at Ride for Kids events on June 7.

Nearly 1,000 participants gathered to help cure the kids in Cumming, Ga., and Mechanicsville, Va. The events honored brain tumor survivors Addison, Alexa, Amelia, Ashley, Axton, Branden, Brittany, Catherine, Chayton, Coty, Cristian, Dillon, Dru, Frederick, Jarod, Juan, Luke, Maddie, Mandy, Mao, Nathan, Neil, Stacy, Taylor and Tony.

“My son lost his battle with a brain tumor. Thank you for giving other children a chance to win that fight,” said Mark Pearson at the Virginia event.

Ride for Kids motorcyclists help make a difference in the lives of children with brain tumors at events across the nation. Their fundraising efforts support the PBTF’s medical research and family support programs.

The event is still collecting donations online at www.rideforkids.org. Fundraisers will receive incentive credit through July 7.
