FIRST PERSON/OPINION Via e-mail: Wade Boyd’s father Bill Boyd, considered by many to be the Father and Spiritual Embodiment of The Sunday Morning Ride (and racer of many disciplines), passed away in his sleep June 28 at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco, California, following a long fight with cancer. His last words were “All you need is luv!” His remains will be scattered along the SMR route sometime in the following month – time and date TBD. May his new road be as sweet as the roads he pioneered for us here on earth! His spirit will always be with us and with the Ride he has fathered.
