R.I.P. CMRRA Founder Al Lyons

Al Lyons, the founder of the California Mini Road Racing Association (CMRRA), died January 22, 2014. He was 73.

Lyons started CMRRA in 1993 and ran it until 2009. During that time several professional racers started their road racing careers with CMRRA, including: Tommy Aquino, Michael Beck, Josh Herrin, John Hopkins, Benny Solis and Chris Ulrich, among others.
