Neville E. Goss M.B.E. FIM Honorary Deputy President Neville Edmund Goss M.B.E. passed away on Saturday 9 July at the age of 93. Neville Goss entered the FIM at the 1971 Congress in Geneva, as a member of the International Technical Commission (CTI). At the Congress in Caracas in 1977 he became CTI President. He was elected FIM Vice-President in 1981 at the Congress of Tokyo. He was appointed FIM Deputy President at the 1984 Spring Meetings in Geneva, a post he kept until 1987. Vice-President from 1988 to 1993 (except in 1990 when he was ad-interim Treasurer), he was appointed President of the newly-created Consultative Panel for Road Safety in 1988 which would become the International Panel for Public Affairs and Road Safety (CIAP) in 1993. He was appointed Honorary Deputy President in 1995 and in 1998, at the Congress in Capetown, he retired and received a FIM Gold Medal for his outstanding work in the FIM. He was also Vice-President of the Auto-Cycle Union from 1970 to 1999, and Chairman from 1982 to 1987. All the members of the FIM present their sincere condolences to his family and friends.
