FIRST PERSON/OPINION: Via e-mail: I regret to announce the passing of U.K. based Moto Guzzi racer Gyles Fairclough. Fairclough won the Thunderbike UK Rookie Championship in 2007 primarily on a Moto Guzzi Daytona RS. He continued racing competitively in the UK Thunderbike series exclusively on Moto Guzzis including a MGS-01 production racebike. On September 22, 2008, Fairclough succumbed to injuries that he sustained at a track day at Cadwell Park on September 16. He was 35. Ed Milich Los Angeles, California
