It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Motorcycle Roadracing Association announces the loss of one of its longtime members and former Treasurer, Katherine Burke.
Kathy served as MRA Treasurer from 2005-2006 and was a member for over 20 years. The MRA has always had a family atmosphere and Kathy embodied that spirit playing track “mom” to many racers and track “grandma” to several racer’s children. Kathy was known for her kindness, love of children, love for animals, her passion and love for racing and above all the love for her family. She was a cornerstone in the pits every race weekend providing endless support for countless people with her time and resources. Kathy was especially proud and supportive of her son’s motorcycle road racing.
Kathy is survived by her husband Dan, son Ryan, daughter Lindsey and granddaughter Calli.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 starting at 10:00 am at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home at 75 South 13th Avenue Brighton, Colorado 80601.
The MRA would like to extend its condolences to the Burke family, fellow MRA members and friends, and the racing community as a whole.
