Jennifer Morgan Campbell, a long-time ASRA/CCS race official and contract worker for multiple racetracks in the southeastern U.S., died September 9. She was 45.

The cause of Campbell’s death could not be confirmed at post time, but according to social media posts by family members, she may have had an extreme allergic reaction to an insect bite while fishing with her husband, Hank Campbell, Jr., on a river outside of Savannah, Georgia.

“It’s kind of a shock to all of us,” ASRA/CCS boss Kevin Elliott told Roadracingworld.com Thursday.

Elliott said Campbell worked for ASRA/CCS for “at least” 20 years and was due to return to duties as one of his main Starters following her recovery from wrist surgery.

Celebration of life and burial services are scheduled Friday, September 13, in Savannah, Georgia.
