Racer Christian Alvarado died December 28, 2015, at his home in Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis. He was 36. Cause of death was not released.

Alvarado won the CCS Heavyweight Supersport Amateur National Championship in 2013. He also raced with ASRA and CRA, instructed with the Jessica Zalusky Advanced Riding School, and worked as a crew member on the Turbo Turtle Racing ASRA/MotoAmerica team during the 2015 season.

Alvarado is survived by his mother, Judy Hoglund-Alvarado (Phil Estrem); brother, Roberto (Jennifer) Alvarado, III; children, Isaiah, Kylee and Kaylen; niece, Chloe Alvarado; nephew, Dylan Alvarado; significant other, Carri Wiken; uncles, Dan (Sue) and Randy (Rae); aunts, Mary, Jane (Marty) and Dawn Marie; cousins, Dane, Monica, Shelby & Chelsea; and by step-grandmother, LaVonne “Mickey” Hoglund, according to his official obituary.

Funeral services were held today in Minneapolis, Minnesota. MRO Chaplain Raymond Rizzo presided over the funeral service.
