Jason Blancas AFM #780 was a 35-year-old new racer with the club in 2018, from Mountain View, California. He was riding a Yamaha YZF-R3 in the third race on Sunday, July 8th at Thunderhill Raceway Park. Entering Turn 8 he made contact with another rider in front of him and departed the track, succumbing to injuries from his accident.

Jason had made several friends in the paddock and like all AFMers, will remain an AFMer in perpetuity. The AFM wishes Jason’s loved ones tranquility and comfort in Jason’s peaceful rest. Jason will be missed.
