FIRST PERSON/OPINION: Via e-mail: Steve Laszko of Aramel Racing, passed away on Tuesday June 23rd due to complications from his quadriplegia. Steve raced with the AMA, WSMC, AFM and CCS road racing organizations from 1997 to 2000. Steve was paralyzed as a result of a crash during qualifying for the AMA National at Sears Point (Infineon Raceway) in May of 2000. Steve and his family will always be grateful for the tremendous support he received from the racing community following his accident. That support, both spiritual and financial, made a significant difference in his life these past nine years. Steve remained an avid fan of the sport he loved and cherished the friendships of his ‘racing family’. Steve is survived by his parents, brothers, sister and a gaggle of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the Barry-Bell and Hall Mortuary in Fallbrook, CA at 10:30am on Thursday July 2nd, followed by internment at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery and a gathering of friends and family at JJ Landers Irish Pub. God Speed, my Brother. Bob Laszko
