Road America Communications Director Cheryl Barnes has resigned her position with the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin racetrack and accepted a similar position with Kearney, Missouri’s Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative.

“My family is in Kansas City and I am moving there to be nearer them. There will always be racing; parents, however, are another story,” Barnes wrote in an e-mail to Roadracingworld.com. “It’s been my privilege to work in motorsports, to work at Road America and to have met and worked with so many wonderful people. It’s been an exciting four years and I have truly enjoyed my time at Elkhart Lake.”
