JOB DESCRIPTION:

Layout Specialist/Graphic Designer

Primarily responsible for designing and laying out Roadracing World print magazine and online materials, utilizing layout software to assemble text, photographs and other content in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-read arrangement. This job requires a creative capacity, strong attention to detail and the ability to visualize the final product during the design process. The Layout Specialist/Graphic Designer must be able to work independently, but also communicate well and work efficiently with the editors and advertising coordinator. Technological proficiency is necessary. Skills should include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining, storing, and organizing digital assets

Liaison between the magazine printer and the Roadracing World team

Process images for print and web use

Layout and placement of graphic elements, text, photos, and vectors

Pre- and Post-Production for web and print

MUST BE PROFICIENT IN THESE COMPUTER PROGRAMS:

Adobe Suite (focus on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)

Microsoft Office Suite (focus on Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)

E-mail Application (like Outlook)
