Anthony Alonso and BayAreaRidersForum.com join forces with 2013 125cc Championship-winning SP125 Racing Team to contest the 2014 BSB Motostar Championship.
In 2014, Anthony and BayAreaRidersForum.com Racing, along with Evolution Motorcycles, Iain Hutton Racing Consultants, Arai Helmets, Roadracing World, Helimot Leathers and Duncan MacMillan, will again join forces with multiple BSB Class Champion SP125 Racing on their bid to retain the BSB 125cc Motostar Championship.
Anthony raced with SP125 Racing at the final two rounds of the 2012 BSB season with great success, taking 3rd and 10th place respectively in the Motostar Cup. A trip that happened in part thanks to BayAreaRidersForum.com Racing, Evolution Motorcycle and Iain Hutton.
“I like working with Anthony. He’s very mature for his age and for someone to come to BSB, learn a completely new track, and finish on the podium on his first try was brilliant. I know 2014 will be a good year for him and I look forward to the start of the season in April,” said Steve Patrickson, owner of SP125 Racing.
For his part Anthony said, “I loved my time with the SP125 Racing guys. They are all very supportive, professional and helped me a lot. My teammates are awesome and I can’t wait to go back and drink tea with them again.”
Anthony continued “I learned a lot in 2013 and I intend to put it all to work in BSB. The Championship is very strong and I know I will face tough competition but I’m ready. The BSB Championship is the most popular National Roadracing Championship in the world. In 2014 it will even be televised in the United States.
The BSB Motostar Championship commences April 18-21 at the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit and takes place across 12 rounds, including an International round in The Netherlands, Assen. With the final round taking place October 17-19.
