Rossi And Marini Win 100km Of Champions At MotoRanch

VALENTINO ROSSI AND LUCA MARINI WIN THE SEVENTH EDITION OF THE 100KM DEI CAMPIONI 

The 2021 edition of the 100km of Champions ends with the win of the pair Rossi – Marini, at the end of a hard-fought battle with Elia Bartolini and Stefano Manzi, second at the finish line. Third Mattia Pasini and his teammate Lorenzo Baldassarri

Tavullia (Pesaro) – A beautiful Sunday of motorsport spent today at the MotoRanch in Tavullia for the seventh edition of the 100km dei Campioni, won by of Valentino Rossi and Luca Marini.

Following the traditional “endurance” style start with a run up to the bikes, it was Elia Bartolini to close the first lap ahead of everyone, gaining in a few laps a good advantage on his chasers Valentino Rossi and Mattia Pasini and signing the best lap time of 2:03.836.

During the race, run over 50 laps with a rider swap every 5 laps, there were many twists and turns. Above all, Marin’s crash during his second stint, which however did not compromise the comeback of the VR46 Riders Academy rider, who with 12 laps to go sealed the victory overtaking on Stefano Manzi.

A very open fight for the third step of the podium between the pairs Pasini – Baldassarri and Bezzecchi – Migno, ended in favor of the first one due to a crash of Bezzecchi a few km from the finish line.

Fifth Niccolò Antonelli and Celestino Vietti in front of the pair formed by the outsider Augusto Fernanez and Diogo Moreira, authors of an excellent performance at their first appearance at the MotoRanch. The Italians Alberto Surra and Federico Fuligni close in P7 followed by the pairs formed by Alex Rins – Albert Arenas and Tito Rabat – Xavi Artigas respectively eighth and ninth. To close the top ten Jorge Lorenzo, enthusiastic about his first experience at the Ranch, with Dennis Foggia. Following: Patacca – Farioli P11; Digiannantonio – Cecchini P12; Lecuona – Vinales P13; Nepa – Ortola P14; Davies – McPhee P15; Bertelle – Zannoni P16; Belli – Gramigni P17; McGrath – Zaccone P18; Casadei – Ferrari P19; Manfredi – Bassani P20; Ottaviani – Serra P21.

The final day of the seventh edition of the 100km dei Campioni ended with the usual podium ceremony and the delivery of the traditional trophies of salami to the winning pairs and the three best riders of the Americana race which took place on Saturday afternoon.
