Round Seven Of Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Moved From Hungary To Portugal

There is great news this week as the next round of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup will be held at the Grand Prix of Portugal in Estoril on Saturday 15th September. That is followed by the final round at the Grand Prix of Valencia on Saturday 3rd November. The venue switch for round seven from Hungary to Portugal aligns the whole series with the MotoGP World Championship as originally intended. There had been space difficulties in Portugal but thanks to exceptional efforts by Dorna, IRTA and the Portuguese organisers these have been overcome. With two races to go Frenchman Johann Zarco heads the title race from Italian Lorenzo Savadori and Briton Matthew Hoyle. There are still 50 points to race for so a great deal could change in the next two events. Every race and every track is a tremendous learning experience for the Red Bull Rookies. The Estoril circuit is famous for its winds that can really test rider skills adding yet another dimension to their education.
