This privateer Daytona SportBike effort saw immediate success with riders Taylor Knapp on a Buell, Steve Rapp on a Ducati 848 and Jason DiSalvo on both Ducati 848 and Triumph 675R motorcycles. More success was had in SuperSport competition with Dustin Dominguez on the Triumph 675R. All three machines were unproven in the AMA Pro Racing paddock. RSRacecraft got these machines prepped, developed and ready to run continually at the front and more often than not, on the podium. Upon departing on this new venture, team owner Ronnie Saner said “I would like to thank Mr. Latus for all of his support and belief in me and my crew to do the impossible race after race, year after year. In the last three seasons of AMA Daytona SportBike competition, we have won the Daytona 200, had 25 top 5 finishes, 5 wins and 6 pole positions. We also had 15 top 5 finishes in SuperSport and almost won the 2012 SuperSport East Championship which was missed by 11 points. In addition, I would also like to thank Triumph for their support in 2012.” At this time, RSRacecraft is putting together its plans for its 2013 season and will continue with rider Dustin Dominguez and another young and talented rider to be named soon.
