RSRacecraft signs Brandon Cleland for 2013 AMA Pro Racing SuperSport West Series

Banks, OR – January 11, 2013 – RSRacecraft is proud to announce a new team rider for the 2013 AMA Pro Racing season. Up and coming talent, Brandon Cleland, will campaign a Triumph 675R in the AMA Pro Racing SuperSport West series.

RSRacecraft has had great success under the Latus Motors Racing banner with a win in the Daytona 200, 25 top 5 finishes, 5 wins and 6 pole positions in the Daytona SportBike class. In the SuperSport class, the team saw 15 top 5 finishes, 3 track records and back to back wins at Mid Ohio.

Unlike most rising road race stars, Brandon did not grow up in a home with interest or knowledge in motorsports. His first fascination was with motocross in 2002 where Brandon quickly decided that racing was in his blood. After leaving motocross in 2006 to further his education at TCU, Brandon found himself back on the track in 2008. Only this time he didn’t take to the dirt but pavement, winning 4 CMRA Novice Championships. Brandon achieved his rookie expert license in 2009 and once he earned his expert license in 2010, he had 8 CMRA series wins, 45 podiums and 3 600cc Superbike endurance championships.

“I’m completely honored to be granted the opportunity to work with RSRacecraft. I spent the vast majority of the 2012 season recovering from an injury and to have RSRacecraft step up and put their faith in me is very rejuvenating. I have never been more excited to go racing in my entire life. It’s a dream come true! I have high expectations for myself and glad to be racing with such a strong team.” said Brandon Cleland.

Ronnie Saner, owner of RSRacecraft comments, “I am thrilled to get to work with another great “up and comer” this year. Brandon seems to be a very good student of the game and is poised to make another great AMA SuperSport story that we all love to see. Brandon has a good relationship with our current rider Dustin Dominguez and comes to us highly recommended by his peers. We at RSRacecraft believe in his ability on the bike as well as his depth of character. We are anxious to show up at Daytona and stand behind this young man in his rookie AMA Pro Racing SuperSport season.”
