Russell, White Return To SPEED’s AMA Pro Road Racing Broadcast Crew

SPEED™ TEAMS IN PLACE FOR 2010 DAYTONA BIKE WEEK SCOTT ‘MR. DAYTONA’ RUSSELL IN THE BOOTH SPEED will open its coverage of AMA Pro Racing and 2010 Daytona Bike Week with coverage of the Daytona 200 by Honda on March 5, beginning at 9 p.m. ET. Ralph Sheheen will deliver the play-by-play, with Scott “Mr. Daytona” Russell providing analysis and Greg White reporting from the pits. “Starting off the season with a rider they call ‘Mr. Daytona’ sitting next to me in the broadcast booth is a great way to kick things off,” Sheheen said. “Scott joined our team last season and got more and more comfortable as the year went on “¦ so, not only does he bring the cachet associated with his name and highly decorated career, but I expect that his television work will continue to impress as well.” Russell, who won the prestigious Daytona 200 five times in the 1990s, was the 1992 AMA Superbike champion and the 1993 World Superbike champion. He was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1995. On March 6, SPEED will air the Daytona Supercross event at 8 p.m. ET, with the popular SPEED team of Sheheen, Hall-of-Famer Jeff Emig and Erin Bates calling the action. Following the Supercross race, SPEED will broadcast American Superbike races from earlier in the week.
