DENVER, Colo. (April 7, 2012) – M1 PowerSports has named a special section of the RV camping area at Road Atlanta Donnie Rowe Boulevard as a thank you to Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown presented by Dunlop Tire and LeoVince superfan and former motorcycle road racer Donnie Rowe. For the fans that plan to “Come for the Party, Stay for the Race,” Donnie Rowe Boulevard will be the hotspot during the AMA Pro Road Racing National scheduled for April 20-22 at the beautiful Braselton, Georgia facility. The family-friendly atmosphere will be full of Big Kahuna fans from the original M1 PowerSports events held at Road Atlanta as well as Big Kahuna newcomers, and will consist of a large caravan of RVs located on the back straightaway of the track, just outside Turn 10. “When Donnie Rowe called up to lock in his RV spots, we immediately wanted to get the word out that he was bringing the party back to Road Atlanta,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “The Big Kahuna was built on fans like Donnie Rowe and we are so grateful for the support. When we get back to Road Atlanta later this month, prepare for the party of the century.” “The hype around Road Atlanta and the Big Kahuna Nationals is bigger than it’s been in years,” said Rowe. “The Big Kahuna is a racing event that’s not just for the race fan; it is a family-friendly event and the place to be seen. I’m only speaking from the passion in my heart when I say things like that, but I can tell you that my phone is ringing. The vibe is out there!” Rowe, who raced in the mid-1980’s, has won races on tracks including the famed Riverside Raceway in California, the Loudon Classic in New Hampshire, the historic Daytona International Speedway and even the site of the Original Big Kahuna and Rowe’s home track, Road Atlanta. In his early career, he earned many of his victories riding Vic Fasola-prepped race bikes and took home multiple AMA National sprint race championships. In 1987, his first season of endurance road racing, he took home the AMA/Motoworld U.S. Endurance GTU series championship. In 1988, he and his teammate contested the same AMA series with a factory-backed Yamaha FZR-1000 in the GTO division, carrying the national #2 plate. Moving forward 20+ years, Rowe continues to show his passion and commitment to the road racing community by celebrating at AMA Pro Road Racing events in a fun and family-friendly way. Friends call it the Rowe Compound, with multiple motorhomes parked in a square and featuring a courtyard area in the center. During the event weekend, be sure to head over to Donnie Rowe Boulevard, located just outside turn 10, pick up an ice-cold bottle of water and say hello to some of America’s biggest supporters of motorcycle road racing. Tickets for the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta begin at just $20 and that event is just the first of three M1 PowerSports-promoted events on the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing calendar which make up the 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown.
