The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has announced via its website (~http://www.amadirectlink.com/news/2008/prosale.asp~) that its Board of Directors has unanimously approved the sale of the sanctioning, promotional and management rights to most of AMA Pro Racing’s properties to Daytona Motorsports Group (DMG).

The deal does not include the rights to AMA Supercross or AMA Arenacross, which are already owned by Live Nation.

“The AMA and DMG will provide additional information in a joint announcement at a later date,” the announcement read.
